Some logotypes, signatures, brands, whatever you want to call them, work great in all kinds of places. Gigantic on the side of a building, lit up in neon or Scotchprinted onto a billboard. Or very tiny near the bottom margin of the page. At times, I think some logos were designed with those various purposes in mind while others are doomed to only be serviceable in the cluttered phone book ad they call home.

The park is located beneath the historic St Johns bridge http://www.scs.sk.ca/vol/HTT/SDesign/bridgeH.htm at one of the original 14 landing sites for Lewis & Clark http://www.parks.ci.portland.or.us/Parks/Cathedral.htm.

The festival is a critical needs item fundraiser for the William Temple House and a celebration for our men and women of the armed forces, police, and fire departments. The William Temple House assists low income and working poor families throughout the Portland-metro area.

Honestly it feels a little weird for me to be patriotic right now, but this is one of those projects thats just the right thing to do! We're hosting a hero's party on Friday 9/9 followed by a toy run, bbq contest, and music festival on Saturday 9/10.

So, if you have some time, we'd love some help designing a logo. For your time we can offer a spot on the front page and some awesome karma. Interested?

I'm working on an identity system for a property preparation service and would appreciate a critique of the logo I've designed. Here's a quick brief to help understand the project:

Client provides a value priced package of services to turn around a property and make it ready to rent or sell quickly.

Target audience are middle and working class who don't have the time or energy to prepare a property (in time) for rent or sale. The list of services provided is very comprehensive, but basically it's anything that needs to get done in order to both improve the property's value as well as meet inspection and/or health and safety requirements.

The client needs a complete identity system including website. This logo is just the beginning.

After research and several different sketches, here's the logo that seems to be emerging as a strong candidate for review:
